I’ve noticed lately that my husband’s cycle is coinciding with my own. We both have stretches of unexplained grouchiness and irrational behavior. Has anyone looked into this???

These are qualities of my parents in no particular order. Some qualities they share, such as the willingness to help anyone who needs them, strong sense of justice, generous, kind, thoughtful, but the list above represents their complete polar opposite [...]
Returning home from a trip to NYC with my husband, I’ve had a couple of days to contemplate many things. My most favorite thing to do on a vacation is sleep. It occurred to me, as I sat in my catbird seat high above the city, that I could be having this experience closer to [...]
Some of us are phone talkers. We chat and chat and chat. We chat and do laundry, tidy the house, drive the car, cook the dinner, walk to school, chat chat chat. If we ever meet up with other phone talkers look out! We are the people that make unlimited long distance a phone company’s [...]
We’ve all heard Oprah talk about practicing random acts of kindness–put a coin in the old expired meter and that kind of stuff. I’ve seen it sung on the back of bumpers and I belong to a group at school whose mission is to be the actors of the kindness. I like the kindness, I [...]
When we first moved to Swank County in 1999, I drove a grey, spotless, 1987 Cutlass Ciera. The ‘grandma car,’ as we called it, was actually bought from my grandma in 1991. When she owned it, every night that car slept in her garage. The car was washed regularly, the inside smelled like new and [...]

We are the kid-run craft house. Imagination runs wild here [...]
Ever wonder how little 6 year old brains put the universe in order? This just in from K3, self-proclaimed Queen of the Chinchillas:
The moon and the sun take a sponge and put it down in Earth’s water lake. It takes up the whole lake and they squeeeze it down on the Earth and they use [...]
There is no doubt that we live in the land of excess in Swank County. I read somewhere that people here are perennially in pursuit of youth. If they are doing that, then why are they celebrating their birthdays in such a big, public way? Seems like these Dorian Greys would want to quietly sweep [...]
Bangshell and Blondeshell introduced me to the local green dry cleaners. Why would I want harmful chemicals used on my family’s clothing if I knew there could be a better way? A better, more expensive way–so swank.
I placed the call. The cheerful person on the other end of the phone welcomed me to the ‘greener [...]
